BIRD WATCHING

At Chandelier we are very privileged to a have diverse eco-system, including succulent Karoo, Cape “fynbos” as well as river bush veldt.

The unspoilt area attracts many species of birds and patient bird watchers are highly rewarded. Species like the African Fish Eagle, Secretary Bird, Martial Eagle, Black Eagle and Blue Crane have been spotted. The Klip River runs though the 3500 ha Chandelier Game Lodge for more than 8 km, and offers a home to various water species.

The hippo pools and water holes are prime spots for bird watchers.
