Our three month informal course blends a working adventure holiday with a practical educational experience, specifically designed for people who would like to improve their understanding of the natural world, whilst enjoying a break at the same time. Appreciate the diversity that South Africa has to offer, whilst studying the basic skills of a game ranger. We provide theoretical instruction with hands-on training; learn to track animals in the wild, understand animal behaviour, survive in the bush and much more. With field trips across the country and time out to explore, you’ll taste the real South Africa.

There are no formal assessments or official qualifications; however the course provides an ideal springboard for further studies in guiding and conservation. So whether you’re considering an extended holiday, gap year, or career break, we have something for you.
