Accommodation & Transport
Each student is accommodated in his or her own Safari style tent on
the nature reserve. All meals are provided by the lodge and laundry
facilities are available. As part of the course activities, students
will be camping out from time to time. All camping equipment will be
provided, and during these excursions students will have the opportunity
to practice their outdoor culinary skills.

Transport on the reserve during training is by game viewing vehicle.
A free taxi service will be available twice a week to transport students
to Oudtshoorn after the day’s training. Any additional transport needs
can be discussed with the Programme Leader.

Free time
Due to the short duration of the course, students are unable to take a
separate holiday during the programme. ‘Working’ days are Monday to
Friday, except when on educational tour. Students are free to go away over
the weekend, but will be expected to return by Sunday evening. Oudtshoorn
is one of the most popular towns in South Africa and during free time
students have access to amenities such as internet cafes, restaurants,
cinemas, shopping malls and much more.
